What is it made of?
The SkyBite is made from 100% food-grade silicone. It contains no BPA, no phthalates, no latex, and no PVC. The same material standard used in medical and kitchen-grade equipment.
Why the airplane shape?
The airplane shape is functional, not just decorative. The wings give tiny hands something to grip naturally, the body supports hand-to-mouth motion, and the overall shape encourages bilateral hand use - meaning babies often hold it with both hands, which supports motor development. It also makes mealtime something babies are excited to reach for.
How is this different from a regular baby spoon?
A standard spoon is designed for a parent to feed a baby. The SkyBite is designed for a baby to hold and use themselves, while also soothing teething discomfort at the same time. It eliminates the back-and-forth between teether and spoon that most parents deal with every single meal.
Does it actually help with teething?
Yes. The textured surface on the SkyBite is designed to apply counter-pressure against inflamed gum tissue - which is what teething babies instinctively seek when they chew. It is not a distraction from discomfort. It directly addresses it.
Can my baby use it independently?
Yes. The SkyBite is designed to support self-feeding from the start. The grip, weight, and shape are all calibrated for small hands. Supervised use is always recommended, especially for younger babies just starting solids.

CARE AND USE
How do I clean the SkyBite?
The SkyBite can be washed by hand with warm soapy water or placed on the top rack of your dishwasher. It can also be sterilized by boiling in water for 3 to 5 minutes or using a steam sterilizer.
Can I put it in the freezer?
Yes. Many parents place the SkyBite in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes before use. The cool silicone provides additional relief for inflamed gums during active teething. Do not freeze solid - chilled is sufficient.
Can I put it in the microwave?
No. Do not microwave the SkyBite.
How often should I replace it?
Inspect the SkyBite regularly for signs of wear, thinning, or damage. If you notice any tears or changes in texture, replace it. With normal use and proper care, food-grade silicone products maintain their integrity for a significant period of time.
Can it go in a sterilizer bag?
Yes. The SkyBite is compatible with standard microwave steam sterilizer bags.
FEEDING AND DEVELOPMENT
What foods can I put on it?
The SkyBite spoon bowl works with purees, soft mashed foods, yogurt, oatmeal, and any age-appropriate soft food for your baby’s stage. It is not designed for chunky or hard solid foods.
Is this good for baby-led weaning?
Yes. The SkyBite supports the self-feeding principle at the heart of baby-led weaning. It puts control in your baby’s hands and encourages them to direct the feeding experience, which is core to the BLW approach.
My baby keeps chewing the spoon instead of eating. Is that okay?
Completely normal, especially in the early stages. Babies explore everything through their mouths first. Let them chew, let them explore. When they are ready to eat, they will use it as a spoon. Many babies do both in the same meal.
Will it help with mealtime resistance?
For many families, yes. Mealtime resistance is often connected to teething discomfort or a baby’s desire for independence at the table. The SkyBite addresses both - it soothes while it feeds and gives babies something they can hold and control themselves. It does not solve every feeding challenge, but it removes two of the most common ones.

How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping takes 5 to 7 business days. Tracking information will be sent to your email once your order ships.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Use the order tracking tool on our website with the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please contact us at skybite077@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damage and your order number. We will make it right.
Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
Yes. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Because this is a product that goes near a baby’s mouth, we cannot accept returns of opened items, but we will work with you to resolve any issue.
